Reconciliation 2022

Mudgee Community Preschool has a new vision for Reconciliation which is being registered with our RAP on the Narragunnawali Reconciliation website.

As we journey together on Wiradjuri Country towards a just future, the community of Mudgee Preschool will be brave, active and respectful. Together we will strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous peoples and develop our understanding of culture, history and Country through Listening, Learning and Playing.

Here are some photos of the children at Preschool connecting to Country and learning about culture through playful experiences.

As part of our Reconciliation Action Plan, Mudgee Community Preschool recognised that it is important to display an Aboriginal flag that was clearly visible to people passing by. This year, as part of NAIDOC celebrations, the children wove a flag on the fence at our Lovejoy Street campus and wove the colours on a tree trunk at South Mudgee – one way of letting the community know that we recognise we are on Wiradjuri Land and welcome Aboriginal peoples.
